How to knit cables – date to be confirmed Jan/Feb 2018

I’m always amazed at the variety of what can be created with yarn and needles and cabling is one of those things that gives a fantastic result for a quite simple technique. In this workshop we will look at the different types of cables and learn how to master cables with and without a cable needle. A massive bonus with cabled patterns is that they add extra warmth to knitted garments, hence their popularity in Scotland and Ireland! We will cast on a simple project of a pair of arm warmers and go through the techniques needed to produce right and left leaning cables. You’ll be able to work at your own pace and take away enough confidence to go it alone.

The cost of the workshop is £85 including refreshments throughout the day, delicious locally-sourced lunch and a goody bag with yarn and needles to help you on your way. Places are limited to a maximum of 6.

To secure a place, we ask for a £35 deposit, which can be paid by debit or credit card over the phone, paypal or bank transfer. The remainder is payable on the day of the course. Please call Karen on 01547 530885 or email

Please note that the deposit is non-refundable if you cancel unless we are able to resell the workshop place.
